Media Relations: Details

The dates for the 2008 Media Relations Seminar are:

• June 26-27, 2008 (Cancelled)
• December 11-12, 2008 (Registration deadline is November 14)

The Media Relations Seminar will be held at the Homewood Suite by Hilton in Glen Allen, Virginia. Classes begin at 8:30 a.m. on Thursday and end at 4:30 p.m. on Friday.  Dress code is business casual (collared shirts, no jeans).

Certification

This seminar has been approved by the Virginia Department of Criminal Justice Services (DCJS) for Partial In-service Credit.  Pre-approved PIC-3 Forms will be distributed at the close of the seminar.

Program Fee

The program fee includes tuition, training, materials, break refreshments and DCJS In-service credit. 

Lodging

Lodging is not included in the cost of registration.  Participants who need lodging accommodations can make them online on the Registration & Lodging page.  

Cancellation Policy

Cancellations, prior to the registration deadline, will be assessed a $75 scheduling fee.  Cancellations received on or after the registration deadline will not be eligible for a refund.  Qualified substitutions are gladly accepted with prior approval.
