New Chiefs/Deputy Chiefs Training School
This three-day course is a “must” for those individuals who have recently been appointed as a chief of police, deputy chief, or one who functions as the chief executive in the absence of the chief. The curriculum focuses on issues central to running a successful police agency, including such issues as ethics, personnel issues, financial management, Freedom of Information Act (FOIA), records management, and political environments.
In addition to classroom discussions, participants have an opportunity to network with other criminal-justice professionals during informal breaks and meals. This is a great opportunity to meet other new chiefs and seek assistance from other police executives. Legal credit is included in this training.
