Due to funding challenges and the current economic environment, we have temporarily suspended future CYCLE sessions until we have raised the necessary funds in advance to run this leadership program. We are saddened by this action but these steps were based upon responsible fiscal considerations. When funding is available, the program application guidelines outlined below will apply.
Student Application
Student application packets are mailed directly to school resource officers by the Virginia Police Chiefs Foundation. Students who wish to attend a CYCLE program must be nominated by their school resource officer. Please contact your school resource officer for more information on becoming nominated.
Law Enforcement Application
At each CYCLE session we utilize three (3) SRO’s/police officers to assist with the program. Your agency is responsible for the cost of your meals and lodging, (approximately $300.00 for the week). An invoice will be sent to your agency. Each SRO/police officer will have assigned responsibilities during the week, both inside and outside of the classroom. For your attendance and participation, you will receive thirty-six (36) hours of approved DCJS in-service credit.
